Configurator

As its name suggests, the Configurator allows you to configure, or customize, the application to your own specific needs.  It consists of a "notebook" style display with six different pages of information. The tabs are as follows:

Add/Remove

Allows you to install manufacturer AD files on your hard drive or remove them as necessary to free up space on your drive from the Web or from the Quick AD CD..

The Add/Remove tab shows two list boxes: The list box in the upper left corner of the screen simply shows the five categories of information available via Quick AD: QAD I (AD Information for large aircraft), QAD II (AD Information for regional, corporate and commuter aircraft), Props/Rotors, Helicopters, FAR Library, Type Data, STC, and FAA Forms. Click on an item and all of the associated information lists in the second box below. You may then select specific files to install on or remove from your local hard drive.

Keyword Management

Allows you to view, create, modify, or delete keywords , and associate these keywords to AD’s.

You can create your own keywords to which you can assign to AD’s. To accomplish an assignment, the keyword you want to use must already exist. In this area, you can add, modify, or delete these keywords. Clicking on the Assignment tab takes you to where you can then assign these keywords to specific AD's. This assignment allows you to create your own Filtered AD Lists.

Keywords can be associated with AD's to allow creation of Filtered Lists. A filter looks at the AD's associated with a specific keyword, and creates a list based on those keywords. You have the ability to add your own keywords and associate them with AD's of your choice.

Profiles

Allows you to view, create, modify, or delete profiles that you have imported or created.

For each profile, a Profile Configuration record is assigned which contains  information regarding  Company, Address, Phone and Fax, as well as user-defined headings used in the profile. This feature provides much flexibility when you choose to import  profiles from other companies.

CheckLists

Allows you to view, create, modify, or delete checklist items which are used in your CheckLists.

User Setup

Allows you to set certain system defaults regarding sort order of AD's and displays of superceded AD's.
